Interplay사에서 Alone in the dark 시리즈를 만든 프랑스 작가.
허버트 샤도트는 수년간 Infograms사에서 일하면서 Eternam, Shadow of the Comet, Prisoner of Ice같은 우수한 작품들을 만들었다.
1997년, 동료들과 Gamesquad사를 설립하고 Devil Inside를 만들게 된다.
그 밖에도 Little Big Adventure, Alone in the Dark 4, The Ring, Faust등의 게임에서 자문을 담당하기도 하였다.
2002년 The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Award에서 개임 개발자에게 주는 Penguin상을 최초로 받았다.
